A news story is a summary of reporting that already exists: a state memo, a budget note, an audit, or a published article. The page names that source and links to it. The language section is separate. Those pages define the words agencies and waiver programs use. They are not legal advice, and they are not clinical definitions.

The desk chooses a source when it changes a wage, a rate, a waiver, or a staffing rule that direct support agencies have to live with. A recognition week or a single local incident can run as a short note. A wage floor, a rate study, or a waiting list is the story the desk expects to keep current.

Corrections
